Nature and light inside
The NatureLux® –Concept
Consciously designing our living space is something that humans have been doing since settling down in cabins and houses. Architecture, interior design and light conditions directly influence us and our well-being. Today, interior designers plan our apartments, we add pictures, flower arrangements and change decorations according to the season. To feel truly comfortable in our houses is what we are all striving for.
Hospitals, doctor‘s offices and retirement homes – places that focus on wellness and health – frequently aren’t designed in a similar, friendly and pleasant way as our homes.
Instead of dark rooms with windows showing a panorama of dull concrete walls, the eye could also wander over an alpine panorama, through big tree trunks of a green forest or you could get lost in leafy tree crowns.
The NatureLux®-lighting panels bring green oases directly into hospitals, waiting areas, operation theatres and patient rooms. The panels consist of a combination of high-resolution pictures with lighting technology, and can be used for decorative and lighting purposes. They contribute to a calming atmosphere for patients and hospital staff alike.
At Medica 2017 in Düsseldorf, the world’s biggest healthcare exhibition, INTEGROMED launched this new room concept.
Faster recovery in a healing environment
Starting point for the development of NatureLux® has been the holistic healing environment approach which links the structural design, the patient’s well-being and the costs for the medical operation. Staying in natural environments, daylight illumination and views of green landscape have a positive impact on the recovery of patients. It reduces stress, contributes to the prevention of a range of illnesses (e.g. weather-related winter depressions) and makes the overall stay in hospital much more comfortable.
Independently of the location or weather, NatureLux® lighting panels offer a view of green nature 24/7. The lighting intensity is adjustable depending on the individual needs of the patient. Especially patients in intensive care, who lack mobility and access to daylight, quickly lose their natural biorhythm, which affects their recovery, sleep and metabolic processes. NatureLux is equipped with an LED-matrix, which simulates the white color palette of daylight and thus imitates the natural daylight rhythm. Now, the patient’s inner clock can be adapted to a normal daily routine.
Hospital staff also benefits from the calming effects of the lighting panels. Positive effects include a better working climate and lower error risk.
Razor-sharp pictures, variable use, quick installation
The panels consist of a combination of glass, picture and the LED-matrix with daylight imitation. Even music, controllable via Bluetooth, can be connected.
As closed spaces like hospital rooms or corridors normally don’t allow to enjoy the scene from a long distance, one important feature of NatureLux are the razor-sharp pictures. A special photographic technology guarantees an extremely high image resolution.

Installation of NatureLux® is quick and easy. The panels either replace the existing ceiling tiles and lights or can be installed as a modular wall panel: Just replace the existing panels with NatureLux panels, and connect them to the power supply using a simple plug-and-play principle.
