King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital is a 420 bed hospital specializing in a wide range of medical services. The associated heart center is the only facility for adult cardiac surgery in the region.

Our focus in this project was on the implementation of an intensive care unit with 26 patient rooms, including 2 isolation rooms. Here our wall system consists of HPL panels, stainless steel panels and colored and printed glass panels.

Although the intensive care rooms are strictly separated from each other, the ward appears very bright, open and friendly. We succeeded in doing this thanks to the built-in sliding doors with windows, pleasant colors and natural elements. Thus our healing environment concept was implemented perfectly. In order to guarantee privacy despite the high priority on security and visibility, all windows have manual privacy protection, either through internal blinds or through intelligent glass that changes from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.
